Ncell to return amount charged during "Dial 9090 lucky draw campaign"

Ncell is all set to return the amount it had charged to its subscribers during the Ncell's "Dial 9090 lucky draw campaign". Nepal Telecom Authority (NTA) had suspended Ncell's Dial 9090 lucky draw asking for the clarification about the tariffs it had charged to its customer against the NTA regulation. Ncell is all set to refund the amount to its customers who have participated in the lucky draw campaign, Sanju Koirala, Corporate Communication Manager of Ncell, told Nagarik Daily. NTA has permitted tariff of Rs. 1.99 per minute (exclusive of tax) while the Ncell had charged Rs. 2.47 (inclusive of tax) for 10 seconds under the lucky draw campaign. Koirala also told Nagarik daily that they have been holding meeting with the authority and if they are authorised, the new scheme will be continued. Ncell had started the new scheme from August 27, 2010 with attractive prizes but it had to suspend the scheme after just five days. Nagarik Daily quoted a source as saying that within the period of five days over 500,000 subscribers had participated in the lucky draw campaign. Koirala also informed the daily that the money will be refunded within a few days as there may be some technological problem while refunding amount to its subscribers in one day. Ncell is also set to inform its subscriber through SMS about the refunded amount. Your Ad Here
