A convict serving jail term at Panchthar Jail on rape charge escaped Friday afternoon. The convict, Sundar Rai, 25, of Sidin VDC, Panchthar, escaped by jumping over barbed wire that surrounds the jail, reports quoted police as saying. Police said they have intensified search to trace Rai and assured that he will soon be arrested.
